I’m bored, so here are my top fics (legit like these I have saved as an icon on my phone's home screen)(In no particular order)(Also this is me just quickly gushing about them so sorry it’s bad XD)  :

- Mikado’s Secrets - Looking Glass22 (FF.net)

A shizuo/Izaya where they’re parents to Mikado. I legit wish there were more fics like this cause I absolutely love the relationship and the parental Shizuo/Izaya XD. I always come back to this story when I feel like reading DRRR

- Taking Chances - plumeriafairy14 (Ao3)

A really good domestic AU Klance and Allura/Shiro. Now I haven’t been paying attention to the VLD fandom since the last season ‘cause I didn't like the ending but, a friend recommended this to me a year or so again and it was so good! It’s close to 40 chapters but the story is so good!!!!! (there's also some smut in it if thats not your thing, just a warning) 

-A Place to Rest - LuckE1 (Ao3) 

This author I love in general for their free! stories but this was the first one I found when it wasn't finished and I remember one Mondays reading it on the bus to school. This was a great Makoto angst story and I really enjoyed it. 

-You are my Dad, you’re my dad, boogie woogiewoogie - Hitinmiss (Ao3)

So funny story with this one, I was at the mall with my family and cause I always eat slowly, they left me in the food court. Not wanting to look weird I went on my phone to read some fics and this one probably made me look crazier. I legit was laughing and squealing silently throughout it and i’m happy my family wasn't there or they would have prob been concerned XD

-Innocence’s True Form - Innocent Heart2 (FF.net) 

Half the reason I started this list. I legit started writing because i wanted to make a story similar to this (luckily I didn't cause it was shit what i tried, tho I did draw some art that if y’all care to see XD) This DGM story Is basically all their innocence become human and it’s beautiful. I don't believe it’s finished but it’s been a few years soooo. But still what is there is great and I love where it was going. 

- neighbourly charms - thishasbeencary (Ao3) 

a great yuri on ice story where yuuri moves in to a new house next door to Viktor and it’s a 4 chapter romance fic. It’s really good with romance and a bit of fantasy (i dont wanna spoil anything ;) ) This story was another example of me losing and having to dig for a fic because I deleted the tab i was on (i read in private tabs ) and didn't know the name of the fic, I dug through the Viktor/Yuuri tag on Ao3 to find this. I’ve legit recommended this story to people because I love it!

- I’m not broken - BoovPerson (Ao3) 

This is like the only one-Shot on this list but is so beautiful. This is a story about Tony figuring out he’s aromantic. The ending scene is so beautiful that I almost cried and i’ve read this too many times. As someone who identifies as Aro Its so nice to see the representation and i found the story so heartwarming. I legit wish I could shove this down all my friends throats but a lot of them either aren't into MCU or dont know im Aro XD

- It Came Upon Voidless Clear - doodlegirll (Ao3) 

(This story has homophobia in it just as a warning) THIS F***ING STORY!! I legit made my friend read this when they got into WTNV beacause I absolutely love it. It was so good story wise, had some angst but also some really nice family/romance fluff!!!! basically Cecil goes with Carlos to his house for christmas and shit happens. I dont think ill ever find any better WTNV fic! (DAMN I REALLY WANNA READ THIS AGAIN XD) 

- Stitching Hearts - Mandelene (FF.net)

THIS STORY ACTUALLY MADE ME CRY!!!!!!! I legit stayed up until 5 am reading this and subsequently sat in the dark crying at the ending. It’s a ACE family fic if I remember correctly. Every once and a while I try to go and reread it but I can never bring myself to XD. This author in general I would recommend for FACE fics because theirs are AMAZING!!!!!

K thats all the ones I had for now but I have more if people care! I hope the authors of these stories dont mind me ranting about their stories (if so tell me and I can remove it) Also sorry these weren't like, descriptions of the fics. I’m self conscious about recommending things so this was mainly to credit some amazing fic writers and fics that were important to me. I love fanfiction and it is a valid way to write! Tell me if you have or will read these, I can scream about any of these for hours!!!!!!!

Smaller Voltron Rant

So I have another post that is much longer and has much more ranting in it but this post is gonna be going over the infamous “I love you” scene between Shiro and Keith as a Sheith shipper and how it makes me feel. For some, they will see the scene as confirmation that Sheith exists. Others will simply say its the confirmation of a brotherly bond that the show has been indicating since the beginning ( and they will go further and use this to support Klance theories). Honestly I dont give a fuck cause peeps can ship what they wanna ship and it its all a fantasy anyways so like does it really matter?? No. Its a show guys, and while fun and entertaining shouldn’t incite wars that steal enjoyment from being a fan of the show.

To me the “I love you” scene only confirmed one thing, that Shiro and Keith will always be tied together in a way that can’t truly be fathomed. I read another post somewhere, a really great character analysis (also done by a Klance shipper so much respect from me my friend, i applaud your maturity and ability to think and rationalize) that basically said that the bond between Keith and Shiro is one of soulmates. And I agree. I remember them stating how that reason why Keith calls Shiro his brother is because that is the only way Keith is capable of rationalizing his relationship with Shiro. Shiro has been so many things to Keith that it is hard to find the right fit, the right mold to shape their relationship in a way that is understandable. Shiro isn’t Keith’s father, even though Shiro has guided and protected him like one. Shiro isn’t his lover, because what they share can not be encompassed by romance or sex. Shiro isn’t just his mentor or authority figure, even though much of their relationship can be seen through those lenses. What other labels exist to describe them? They sure as hell aren’t strangers, and do they really have the emotionally and mental capabilities to come out and say “hey, maybe we’re soulmates or something like that?” Especially when they never seem to be out of reach of turmoil? So of course brotherhood is a logical conclusion. And I am not angry at it at all. Like I’m super down with it actually. Sure, I’m still a Sheith shipper because again, this is fantasy, and in maybe some alternate universe instead of their soulmatehood showing up as a brother-bond it shows up as a romantic love than spans the stars. Maybe in another universe Shiro really is Keith’s dad, biological or adoptive, and that father-son bond can play out. Thats all cool and dandy because what matters is that there is love. Love is the surrounding theme and that makes me happy. That Shiro and Keith are loved, that Keith loves Shiro, and the Shiro loves Keith. Any Yuri on Ice!!! stans out there know that things such as Eros and Agape exist, as well as Storge and Philia and a bunch of other types of love. Love comes in many different shapes and sizes, and thats a-okay. Like many have said, its a show, so like do what makes y’all happy and don’t attack others for what makes them happy. None of it is real, and there are always alternate universes. Use your imagination if your not happy with the canon outcome! That’s what fanfiction is for, find your joy there, and don’t expect the show to follow your whims. Love the show for what it is! Its a piece of art and covers many themes that are relevant today and will probably continue to be relevant in the future. Don’t let anger or hate take away value from the show. Love what you love, and respect the love of others. smolsnekchild out!!

okay listen up folks. i'm not a fandom person okay, when i get into a fandom i rarely interact with the community. not because i dont like it, but because it's just who i am: i go into the community just to appreciate the art and the fanfictions and the headcanons and that's pretty much it. but this time I'll make an exception. i am so fucking TIRED and PISSED of hearing about people being THREATENED because they ship something that doesn't appeal to one another. like??????? do you even hear yourself?????? it's like hating on someone because you like strawberries and they prefer blueberries, it's fucking bullshit. and dont come at me and say "shaladin is pedophilia" because if a minor is 17 they can sure think and act like a fucking 24 year old god dammnit. yes, a minor is still a minor, but A FICTIONAL CHARACTER IS STILL A FICTIONAL CHARACTER. if you ship shaladin it fucking doesnt make you a pedo, it just makes you a stan of something fucking hell. and if you say something like "ship x is toxic" HELLO AUS ARE A THING. HEADCANONS ARE A THING. most importantly IT'S ALL FANTASY. PEOPLE WON'T COME AT YOUR HOUSE TO KILL YOU BECAUSE YOU SHIP TWO PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH EACHOTHER. "people who think of x and y together are disgusting" well sorry if your eyes landed on that one fan art janet, you really should go back to read your 2k fanfiction about two grown man fucking eachother because that's legal at least. at least they won't get arrested and put in court by the fiction police. to the people who spread hate on people who are just having fun: you disgust me. i am revolted by the fact that you think, based on solely your judgement, that scaring and insulting people who did nothing to you might be the right way to "spread the good". to "erase the evil". fuck you. to the insulted people, to the people who received hate for not hating on anyone: don't listen to those rotten apples. block them. you do you, you ship that fucking klance, you dig that shance, you smash that sheith and whatever you feel like shipping. you make your hcs, your art and your fics. don't hate on people. just don't. ignore the people who do. even this post is just giving them attention, and i dont hope this will make big changes. i just wanted to say that this fandom has gone to shit, but it's not the first time a fandom has done this. peace out
